Winter in Paradise: Marine Biology, Anthropology and Geology in
the Bahamas in February

Each February, anthropology, geology and biology students embark on a journey to study coral reefs and small-scale societies on San Salvador Island in The Bahamas. This presentation will include a brief history and pictorial tour of the island (including marine life) and a description of the research and class projects.  Presented by Professors Craig Tepper (biology), Ben Greenstein (geology) and Alfrieta Monoghan (anthropology).

This session will provide an opportunity to learn about several of Cornell's experiential learning programs. Current students will share their experiences involving internships, service, research, and off-campus study opportunities. Representatives from the Career and Civic Engagement Center, the Berry Center for Economics, Business, and Public Policy, and Dimensions: The Center for the Science and Culture of Healthcare will be present to answer questions.
